Evidence
The Oncomine™ Breast cfDNA Assay is part of a complete solution to detect breast tumor-derived DNA (ctDNA) in cell-free DNA (cfDNA). It provides the reagents for library construction and a single pool of multiplex PCR primers for preparation of amplicon libraries from cfDNA obtained from the plasma fraction of a single tube of whole blood. The assay enables the analysis of single nucleotide variants and short indels that are frequently mutated in breast cancer. Ten genes with >150 hotspots are covered (Genes: AKT1, EGFR, ERBB2, ERBB3, ESR1, FBXW7, KRAS, PIK3CA, SF3B1, TP53).

Breast Cancer
Gene:
AKT1 (V-akt murine thymoma viral oncogene homolog 1), EGFR (Epidermal growth factor receptor), ER (Estrogen receptor), ERBB3 (V-erb-b2 avian erythroblastic leukemia viral oncogene homolog 3), FBXW7 (F-Box And WD Repeat Domain Containing 7), HER-2 (Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2)
