FAQ

What are the different evidence levels used in VERI?
VERI codes both sensitive and resistant associations in relation to drug/MOA response. VERI evidence is compliant with ASCO/CAP/AMP standard. Each type is color coded to the highlight level.

How are alterations categorized and color coded in VERI?

What are the different sources of associations?

Why choose VERI?
At LARVOL, we believe a significant amount of public data exists that has not been expertly curated to document the link between biomarkers and cancer drug response.

The purpose and mission, in creating VERI, is to build the single most extensive, user-friendly, up-to-date database of the link between cancer biomarkers and a drug/MOA response, be it for sensitivity or resistance soon to be followed by toxicity.

Our core group of curators, many with PhD's and some MD's, curate information from various sources which include literature, conferences, clinical trials, regulatory and guideline documents. Curated data is verified with a calibrated level of evidence and presented in a unique and user-friendly way that is easy to search and analyze.

What are the different features of VERI?
Heatmap: As part of Premium Content, VERI provides heatmaps to visualize biomarker relationships with therapies through interactive cells that dive deeper to view more detailed curated evidence with excerpts linked to the original source.

News: Track recent biomarkers in the news that are sorted by date and tagged for easy identification.

Trials: View biomarker-related trials tagged for easy identification.

Diagnostics: View evidence linked to clinical diagnostic tests and stay up to date with CDx News and Tweets.

Does VERI quote non-supporting evidence?
Yes, VERI includes non-supporting associations.

Does VERI curate all clinical implications?
VERI curates predictive associations (biomarker-drug/MOA associations) only.

What Cancer type ontology is used?
VERI follows NCI Thesaurus for disease ontology.

How often is data updated on VERI?
Data is updated almost every day.

How are data updates communicated and shared?
New evidence added to VERI will appear at the top of the Drug Response Table and Associations tabs and are date-stamped for easy reference. Important VERI announcements are made through LARVOL’s LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook accounts.

Does VERI curate somatic and genetic variants?
VERI curates all variants but does not differentiate between somatic or genetic variants.

What are the benefits of purchasing a VERI license?
Users who have purchased a license will receive regularly updated custom biomarker push reports and access to paid-only features.

What is the cost of a VERI license?
The cost of a VERI license is determined based on the number of cancer types selected. If your company would like to purchase a VERI license, please contact our team by email at info@larvol.com.

Do I need a license to access VERI data?
Access to VERI data is free for personal use and for research purposes in an academic setting. A license is required to use VERI data in a commercial product or for research purposes in a commercial setting. Please read our Terms of Service for more details.

Is VERI a medical product?
VERI is not a medical product. It is a reference database that contains information about drug interventions related to specific cancer gene alterations. VERI is not intended to act as substitute for professional medical decisions or advice. A medical doctor should always be consulted for health-related questions and concerns.

Does VERI provide clinical trial matching?
VERI does not provide clinical trial matching, however VERI does provide information related to biomarkers in clinical trials.

Can I provide feedback on VERI?
Feedback can be shared with us by email at info@larvol.com.
