The Decipher Prostate Cancer Test is a tissue-based tumor genomic test that serves as a prognostic marker of cancer control outcomes in patients newly diagnosed with localized PCa at the time of biopsy, as well as patients who have undergone radical prostatectomy. It uses the expression of 22 selected RNA markers (from a total of over 1.4 million) and predicts the probability of metastasis within 5 years of RP, and provides an independent assessment of tumor aggressiveness, information that is distinct from that provided by the Gleason score or PSA.
