Activation of the HIF1α/TIMP1/MT6-MMP pathway is associated with invasion in pituitary null cell adenomas. (PubMed, Endocr Relat Cancer)
Regarding the molecular mechanism, HIF1α overexpression could down-regulated TIMP1 and up-regulated MT6-MMP expression levels but not affected EMT markers expression. Our results suggested HIF1α might contribute to the invasion of pituitary null cell adenomas through activating HIF1α/TIMP1/MT6-MMP pathway but not EMT.

CircFOXO3 mediates hypoxia-induced autophagy of endometrial stromal cells in endometriosis. (PubMed, FASEB J)
Mechanistically, the direct combination between HIF-1α and HIF-1α-binding site on adenosine deaminase 1 acting on RNA (ADAR1) promoter increased the level of ADAR1 protein, which bind directly with circFOXO3 pre-mRNA to block the cyclization of circFOXO3. All these results support that hypoxia-mediated ADAR1 elevation inhibited the expression of circFOXO3, and then autophagy was induced upon loss of circFOXO3 via inhibition of p53 degradation, participating in the development of endometriosis.

ALDH1A3 contributes to tumorigenesis in high-grade serous ovarian cancer by epigenetic modification. (PubMed, Cell Signal)
Knockdown of ALDH1A3 prevented HGSOC tumorigenesis and enhanced cell sensitivity to paclitaxel or cisplatin...Treatment of exogenous acetate with NaOAc or inhibition of histone deacetylase with Pracinostat increased H3K27ac and PITX1 levels. CHIP assay demonstrated a significant enrichment of H3K27ac at the PITX1 promoter, and ALDH1A3 knockdown reduced the binding between H3K27ac and PITX1.
