ST6GAL1-Mediated Sialylation of PECAM-1 Promotes a Transcellular Diapedesis-Like Process that Directs Lung Tropism of Metastatic Breast Cancer. (PubMed, Cancer Res)
Analysis of human breast cancer samples showed a correlation between elevated ST6GAL1/PECAM-1 expression and lung metastasis. These results suggest that targeting ST6GAL1-mediated α-2,6-sialylation could be a potential therapeutic strategy to prevent lung metastasis in breast cancer patients.

In the meantime, compared with the co-H460+Sh-XRN2+Ov-NC group, co-H460+Sh-XRN2+Ov-EGFR significantly enhanced the tube formation ability of HUVECs (P < 0.001). XRN2 promoted EMT and metastasis in NSCLC through improving the phosphorylation of the EGFR signaling pathway in NSCLC cells.

The relationship between clinical prognostic factors, microvascular density, and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes with CD47 and SIRPα expression in diffuse large B cell lymphomas. (PubMed, Leuk Res)
The study reveals that increased CD47-SIRPα expression is partially linked to adverse prognostic indicators and reduced MVD in DLBCL cases. These findings suggest that targeting the CD47-SIRPα axis could offer a novel therapeutic approach in DLBCL, particularly for patients with poor prognostic features.

Case report: A rare case of renal epithelioid angiosarcoma. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) revealed positive expression for CD31, CD10, and vimentin, consistent with the diagnosis of EAS. Although EAS is a rare, aggressive, and often misdiagnosed condition, IHC can help confirm its diagnosis, and in our case, the scattered calcifications observed on CT imaging might be helpful in its differential diagnosis.

Foamy Cell Angiosarcoma Resembling a Xanthomatous Histiocytic Infiltrate Without Evidence of Vascular Malignancy. (PubMed, J Cutan Pathol)
This case represents a very unusual presentation of angiosarcoma and a diagnostic conundrum. In cases such as these, especially when features of a vascular proliferation are absent, ERG appears to be the most useful marker for differentiating foamy cell angiosarcoma from histopathologic mimickers.
