Reflecting the loss of VSMCs during normal remodeling, SMA within the vascular media is markedly reduced between gd 7.5 and 9.5, while retention of SMA is a characteristic feature of impaired remodeling. Through quantitative analysis of the relative percentage of SMA within vessel walls, the methodology described here provides an objective means to assess impairment of the spiral artery remodeling process.

Citrate silver nanoparticles modulate estrogen signaling in estradiol-supplemented ER-positive breast cancer cells. (PubMed, Mol Cell Endocrinol)
Our results suggest that the surface chemistry of silver nanoparticles may facilitate their ability to modulate estrogen signaling and interact with the estrogen receptor. Furthermore, the nanoplastics pollution may influence the cytotoxicity of silver nanoparticles. This paper highlights the importance of endocrine research in breast cancer, particularly within the context of nanoplastics pollution and the use of nanotechnology in breast cancer treatment.

The shortened tail and increased fat accumulation represent key adaptations for thermoregulation and energy conservation in high-latitude habitats. Cholesterol in glioblastoma: impaired Hh signaling enhances epigenetic modifiers and decreases CAV1. (PubMed, Cell Struct Funct)
CAV1 gene silencing by siRNA validated its role in maintenance of stem-like phenotype and metabolic alterations of GBM spheroids. Microenvironment Modulates Tumorigenicity of Breast Cancer Cells Depending on Hormone Receptor Status. (PubMed, Int J Mol Sci)
In TNBC cells, both normal- and adjacent-CM partially shifted MDA-MB-231 morphology toward a more epithelial-like state, decreasing caveolin-1 levels, while adjacent-CM increased MMP9 expression. Overall, these results reveal that adipose tissue-derived soluble factors exert significant and subtype-dependent effects on BC tumorigenicity.
