High-risk HPV prevalence in the Czech cervical cancer screening population: a comparison of clinician-collected and self-collected sampling. (PubMed, Eur J Public Health)
In arm A, the digene® HC2 DNA Collection Device was used for both CS and CVS...Furthermore, the results confirm that self-sampling kits represent a suitable alternative to clinician-collected samples. Clinical trials registration  ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier (NCT04133610).

Effectiveness of HPV vaccination in reducing infection among young Brazilian women. (PubMed, BMC Infect Dis)
The results showed that the quadrivalent HPV vaccine was effective in reducing the prevalence of vaccine-type HPV and the incidence of infection by any HPV type. Public health policies must encourage vaccination to prevent HPV infection. However, surveillance of HPV infection should be continued to assess the prevalence of different genotypes and the impact of the vaccination program.

Human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccination is associated with reduced number of surgical treatments, an observational study on recurrent respiratory papillomatosis in Northern Sweden. (PubMed, Acta Otolaryngol)
HPV vaccination was associated with a lower number of treatments per year, supporting the use of vaccination as an adjuvant treatment. Vaccination as adjuvant treatment to surgery may lead to increased quality of life for RRP patients and saved healthcare resources.

Mapping human papillomavirus, Epstein-Barr virus, cytomegalovirus, adenovirus, and p16 in laryngeal cancer. (PubMed, Discov Oncol)
These findings present a mapping of HPV, EBV, HCMV and HAdV, including the HPV surrogate marker p16, in LSCC in this cohort. Except for EBV, which was detected in a third of the samples, data show viral infection to be uncommon, and that p16 does not appear to be a specific surrogate marker for high-risk HPV infection in LSCC.

Genotype distribution of cervical HPV among Caribbean women in a population-based study in Martinique: The DEPIPAPUFR study. (PubMed, PLoS One)
The most common genotypes were HPV51, 68, 53. These results could serve for cancer vaccination strategies and HPV surveillance in Martinique.
