Three of the top five HPV genotypes in this Kosovo cohort only comprise ~19% of cervical cancers worldwide, which supports a geographic distribution of the most common high-risk HPV genotypes. These findings also suggest consideration for targeted vaccine coverage and treatment guidelines based on the most prevalent genotypes in different geographic regions.
