CRISPR screens identify targets to rescue age-related T cell dysfunction in cancer. (PubMed, bioRxiv)
Notably, Zfp219 ablation synergized with anti-PD-1 blockade in mice to expand effector-like CD8 + T cells, leading to significantly enhanced anti-tumor immunity and tumor clearance in aged hosts. Together, these findings highlight Dusp5 and Zfp219 as critical drivers of age-related T cell dysfunction and as potential therapeutic targets to rejuvenate T cell antitumor immunity in older cancer patients.

Dissecting gene regulatory networks governing human cortical cell fate. (PubMed, Nature)
We further uncovered a post-mitotic role for ARX in safeguarding IN subtype specification through repressing LMO1. Our study provides a framework for dissecting regulatory networks driving cell fate consequences during human neurogenesis.

Identification of Prognostic Biomarkers for Breast Cancer Metastasis Using Penalized Additive Hazards Regression Model. (PubMed, Cancer Inform)
The selected genes were examined using validation data and were significantly associated with the hazard of metastasis. This study showed that MAPK9, NKX3-1, NCOR1, ABCC5, and CD44 are the potential recurrence and metastatic predictors in breast cancer and can be taken into account as candidates for further research in tumorigenesis, invasion, metastasis, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition of breast cancer.
