These findings indicated that confers significant cardioprotection against myocardial IR injury and that this protective effect is associated with modulation of SIRT-1/PGC-1α-related mitochondrial biogenesis and NF-κB-dependent inflammatory signaling. HO-1 showed a significant inverse correlation with HMGB-1 (r = -0.405, p = 0.001), KEAP1 was positively correlated with sST2 (r = 0.282, p = 0.029), and GPX4 was correlated with FGF21 (r = 0.255, p = 0.049); no other significant associations were found. β-thalassemia major patients exhibit significant endothelial and cardiac injury markers, altered lipid profiles, and selective upregulation of antioxidant and ferroptosis-related genes.

Immune and Endothelial-Related Extracellular Vesicles Are Associated with Corticosteroid Response and Mortality in Alcohol-Associated Hepatitis. (PubMed, Int J Mol Sci)
EVs enriched in platelet (CD49e) and endothelial (CD31) markers were associated with corticosteroid response, whereas EVs enriched with endothelial (CD105 and CD146) and B lymphocyte (CD19) markers were associated with mortality. Overall, EVs enriched in endothelial and monocyte markers may represent a candidate non-invasive tool for predicting corticosteroid response and mortality in AH, aiding risk stratification and early identification of non-responders for timely transplant evaluation.

The Interrelationship Between Cardiac Autonomic Activity and Low-Grade Inflammation in Subjects with Obesity and Prediabetes. (PubMed, Exp Clin Endocrinol Diabetes)
An independent inverse relationship was found between PSNS tone and systolic blood pressure and CRP. However, after adjustment for BMI and/or body composition parameters, waist circumference was the only independent predictor of PSNS activity (p<0.0001), explaining 26% of its variation.This study demonstrates an inverse relationship between PSNS activity and both systolic blood pressure and CRP levels, though this association is largely mediated by visceral obesity.

Here, using a bleomycin-induced experimental lung fibrosis model, we observed that RAP2A expression was markedly upregulated in pulmonary endothelial cells and correlated with disease severity...In vitro assays further demonstrated that RAP2A deficiency impaired tumor necrosis factor-α-induced endothelial adhesiveness without affecting basal endothelial integrity. Collectively, our findings identify endothelial RAP2A as a regulator of inflammatory endothelial activation in experimental lung fibrosis and suggest that targeting RAP2A-mediated signaling may represent a potential strategy to modulate endothelial-immune crosstalk during fibrotic lung injury.

Nevertheless, direct and stable SIINFEKL peptide presentation on these cells overcame their lung specific escape from OT-I mediated killing. Our study is a first indication that subsets of cancer cells that reside in the lungs rapidly downregulate the expression of neoantigen derived peptide MHC-I complexes and thereby evade killing by intravenously introduced tumor antigen-specific CTLs.
