In conclusion, USP2-AS1 could upregulate PHLDA2 expression by recruiting IGF2BP2 and competitively binding miR-134-5p, thus activating the PI3K/AKT signalling pathway and facilitating CRC malignant progression. Our results prove that USP2-AS1 is a prospective target of CRC.

LncRNA USP2-AS1 facilitates the osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells by targeting KDM3A/ETS1/USP2 to activate the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. (PubMed, RNA Biol)
Additionally, USP2-induced Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway activation via deubiquitination of β-catenin protein. In summary, our study proved that lncRNA USP2-AS1 facilitates the osteogenic differentiation of HBMSCs by targeting KDM3A/ETS1/USP2 axis to activate the Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway.

A novel cuproptosis-related prognostic 2-lncRNAs signature in breast cancer. (PubMed, Front Pharmacol)
qPCR results showed that two model lncRNAs (USP2-AS1, NIFK-AS1) and three Cuproptosis genes (FDX1, PDHA1, DLAT) expressed differently between 10 pairs of breast cancer tissue samples and adjacent samples. The current study reveals that cuproptosis-related prognostic 2-lncRNAs signature (BCCuS) may be useful in predicting the prognosis, biological characteristics, and appropriate treatment of breast cancer patients.

Moreover, the knockdown of DCAF13 restored the elevated cell proliferation and growth levels achieved by USP2-AS1 overexpression. Altogether, we found that lncRNA USP2-AS1 functions as a HIF1α-regulated oncogenic lncRNA and promotes HNSCC cell proliferation and growth by interacting and modulating the activity of DCAF13.
