UCN (Urocortin)

This study successfully constructed the correlation between UCN overexpression and immunosuppressive TIME formation in CRC, providing a candidate target for new immunotherapy against CRC development.

Functional experiments showed that UCN gene interference in the CRC cell lines significantly decreased cancer cell proliferation, underscoring UCN's role in intestinal immunity modulation. The UCN-centric prognostic model developed enhances prognosis prediction accuracy and offers critical insights for CRC diagnosis and therapeutic interventions.

RDH13, HMGCS2, and MAVS may become diagnostic indicators and potential biomarkers for UCN. Our research has the potential to enhance our understanding of the mechanisms underlying carcinogenesis in UC.

UCN-1 promotes migration and proliferation and inhibits apoptosis via inhibition of the p53 signaling pathway.

Stress response system and CRH family peptides seem to have a role in inflammation maintenance and progression of vulvar premalignant lesions to malignancy. It seems that stress peptides may locally modulate the stroma through Fas/FasL upregulation, possibly contributing to vulvar cancer development.

In conclusion, it was promising to predict the prognosis of ccRCC through the four oxidative stress genes signature. UCN played oncogenic roles in ccRCC by influencing proliferation and oxidative stress pathway, which was expected to be the novel therapeutic target for ccRCC.
