TRIM46 deficiency‑induced DNA damage enhances the sensitivity of cisplatin in non‑small cell lung cancer by regulating the Akt signaling pathway. (PubMed, Oncol Rep)
Furthermore, TRIM46 deficiency inhibited tumor growth and increased DDP sensitivity in vivo. In conclusion, the results of the present study demonstrated that TRIM46 contributed to DDP resistance by regulating the Akt signaling pathway and DNA damage, thereby offering new strategies for lung cancer therapy.

Panax notoginseng improves the sensitivity of non-small cell lung cancer to cisplatin by inhibiting Akt signaling. (PubMed, Cancer Biomark)
IGF1 reversed these effects, indicating Akt pathway involvement (p < 0.05). In vivo, Panax notoginseng and DDP significantly suppressed tumor growth and increased apoptosis in tumors, confirming enhanced chemosensitivity (p < 0.05).ConclusionPanax notoginseng can improve the sensitivity of A549/DDP cells to DDP by inhibiting the effects of TRIM46 and Akt signaling pathways on glycolysis in vivo and in vitro.

Notably, pre-treatment with reparixin, a CXCR1/2 inhibitor, blocked OC-MQ-induced TRIM46 expression and cell invasion. These results suggest that CXCL8 derived from TAMs promotes human ovarian cancer cell invasion via the Wnt/β-catenin pathway by upregulating TRIM46.

Oxymatrine induces apoptosis in non-small cell lung cancer cells by downregulating TRIM46. (PubMed, Toxicon)
Meanwhile, we found that apoptosis induced by oxymatrine was inhibited by over-expressing TRIM46. Furthermore, our study indicated that the NF-κB signaling pathway was involved in apoptosis suppressed by TRIM46.We conclude that TRIM46 is the direct target of oxymatrine to induce anti-tumor apoptosis and may activate the downstream NF-κB signaling pathway.
