Anti-LCN2 antibodies promote robust anti-tumour T cell responses in mouse models of aggressive solid tumours. Our study shows that the ATF4-LCN2 axis has a cell-extrinsic role in suppressing anti-cancer immunity, and could pave the way for an immunotherapy approach that targets LCN2.

The Relationship between SALL4 and Fascin Expression and the Progression of Colorectal Carcinoma. (PubMed, Asian Pac J Cancer Prev)
This is the first study to demonstrate a significant association between SALL4 and fascin expression in CRC patients, suggesting a potential interplay between them. Both proteins may represent potential markers of CRC progression. Molecular studies are required to further investigate the interaction between SALL4 and fascin in CRC.

Gastric Adenocarcinoma With Enteroblastic Differentiation Presenting as Lung Nodules: A Diagnostic Dilemma. (PubMed, J Community Hosp Intern Med Perspect)
The patient was started on capecitabine and oxaliplatin in addition to trastuzumab with subsequent clinical and radiological improvement. Unresectable, metastatic HER2 positive conventional adenocarcinoma is being managed using platinum-fluoropyrimidine doublet therapy with anti-HER2 monoclonal antibody trastuzumab. This case report calls for aggressive IHC staining for prompt diagnosis where necessary as well as proper guidelines for management.

Heterogeneity in the regulation of cellular stress responses by FUS gene mutations associated with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (PubMed, Zhong Nan Da Xue Xue Bao Yi Xue Ban)
Distinct pathogenic NLS mutations of FUS differentially regulate cellular stress responses through different mechanisms, contributing to ALS initiation and progression. Among these, FUSP525L promotes the formation of larger stress granules, whereas FUSR514S more readily activates the cellular ISR.

Notably, Dynorphin A disrupted zinc finger E-box binding homeobox 1 (ZEB1)-mediated Wnt/β-catenin signaling, and forced expression of ZEB1 partially rescued β-catenin levels, confirming that ZEB1 is a downstream mediator. These findings identify Dynorphin A as a promising endogenous inhibitor of TNBC progression that targets both malignancy and stemness via the ZEB1/β-catenin axis.

This case illustrates the histopathological difficulties in diagnosing PPC and the utility of serum hCG measurement in the detection of PPC. Serum hCG measurement is useful as an initial investigation for possible PPC in patients with non-small cell lung tumors, which should be followed by immunohistochemical staining for markers of choriocarcinoma.

Moreover, SOX4 overexpression enhanced ATP production and the levels of mitochondrial respiratory chain complexs while reducing ROS and mtROS levels in CD4+T cells, with no significant change in mitochondrial mass. Conclusion We demonstrate that SOX4 induces a plastic Treg-like state in CD4+T cells, modulates the expression of key molecules associated with Treg suppressive function, and enhances their oxidative phosphorylation.

Protective Effect of Multifloral Honey on Stem Cell Aging in a Dynamic Cell Culture Model. (PubMed, Antioxidants (Basel))
Collectively, these findings suggest that honey may safeguard skin stem cells from UV-induced aging by modulating pluripotency and senescence-associated genes and regulating differentiation through alterations in Wnt signaling. Furthermore, Hsp70 upregulation in fibroblasts appears to strengthen cellular stress responses and support homeostatic stability.
