Estrogen sulfotransferase SULT1E1 expression levels and regulated factors in malignant tumours. (PubMed, Protein Pept Lett)
In addition, the expression level of SULT1E1 may be regulated by a variety of factors, which in turn affect the growth and therapeutic effects of malignant tumours. The aim of this paper is to review the mechanism of action of SULT1E1 in malignant tumours and the mechanisms that are regulated, in order to provide potential targets for the treatment of malignant tumour patients in the future and theoretical support for the realisation of more personalised and effective therapeutic regimens.

Anti-HPV16 oncoproteins siRNA therapy for cervical cancer using a novel transdermal peptide PKU12. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
High expression of MYH1, MYH4, FGG, DEPP1, and ZBTB16 was associated with shorter overall survival of patients with cervical cancer; high expression of SULT1E1, RAB3C, CXCR3, and PROX2 was associated with longer overall survival of patients with cervical cancer. In conclusion, the transdermal peptide PKU12 is potentially a good candidate for a siRNA delivery vehicle for the treatment of cervical cancer.

RORα Phosphorylation by Casein Kinase 1α as Glucose Signal to Regulate Estrogen Sulfation in Human Liver Cells. (PubMed, Biochem J)
During these dynamic processes, both RORα and HNF4α remain on the enhancer. Thus, RORα utilizes phosphorylation to integrate HNF4α and transduces the glucose signal to regulate the SULT1E1 gene in HepG2 cells and this phosphorylation-mediated mechanism may also regulate SULT1E1 expressions in the human liver.
