    CD43-positive, EWSR1::FLI1-rearranged Soft Tissue Sarcoma in a Pediatric Patient With History of B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. (PubMed, J Pediatr Hematol Oncol)
    We report a 10-year-old with history of B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia presenting with an unusual malignant shoulder mass with variable CD43 positivity, but with an EWSR1::FLI1 fusion detected by RNA sequencing. Her challenging workup highlights the utility of next-generation DNA-based and RNA-based sequencing methods in cases with unclear or conflicting immunohistochemical results.

    CD43 is an adverse prognostic factor in newly diagnosed multiple myeloma. (PubMed, Leuk Lymphoma)
    The poorer prognosis of CD43-positive patients was retained in multivariate analysis (p = 0.005 for PFS; p = 0.013 for OS). Our study indicated that CD43 was an independent adverse prognostic factor in multiple myeloma.

    CD43 Expression Is an Adverse Prognostic Factor in Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma (ASH 2021)
    Most patients enrolled in the study received bortezomib-based treatment...Multivariate analysis indicated that CD43 positive expression was an independent poor risk factor for PFS (HR 2.517 95%CI 1.178-5.376, P = 0.017) and OS (HR 3.664 95%CI 1.100-12.075, P = 0.034). C onclusion Our study showed that CD43 expression was an adverse prognosis for multiple myeloma.
