In addition, CEBPA overexpression impeded BC growth in nude mice by regulating SOCS2. CEBPA suppressed macrophage M2 polarization, BC cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and metastasis by promoting SOCS2 transcription in a targeted manner.

OCA-B/Pou2af1 is sufficient to promote CD4+ T cell memory and prospectively identifies memory precursors. (PubMed, Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A)
We show that early in viral infection, endogenously elevated OCA-B expression prospectively identifies memory precursor cells with increased survival capability and memory recall potential. Cumulatively, the results demonstrate that OCA-B is both necessary and sufficient to promote CD4 T cell memory in vivo and can be used to prospectively identify memory precursor cells.

SOCS2 inhibits hepatoblastoma metastasis via downregulation of the JAK2/STAT5 signal pathway. (PubMed, Sci Rep)
The addition of the JAK2 inhibitor Fedratinib partially reversed the effects of si-SOCS2 on HB cells. SOCS2 may inhibit the migration and invasion of HB cells by inhibiting the JAK2/STAT5 signaling pathway. These results may provide guiding significance for the clinical treatment of HB.

miR-181b-5p/SOCS2/JAK2/STAT5 axis facilitates the metastasis of hepatoblastoma. (PubMed, Precis Clin Med)
The rescue experiment showed that SOCS2 overexpression attenuated the effects of miR-181b on HB cells. Our study showed that miR-181b promotes HB metastasis by targeting SOCS2 and may be a potential therapeutic target for HB.

Inhibition of miR-578 through SOCS2-dependent manner reverses gefitinib resistance in NSCLC cells. (PubMed, Environ Toxicol)
These findings demonstrated that miR-578 effectively abolished gefitinib resistance by regulating the SOCS2 expression within NSCLC cells in vitro and in vivo. Together, these results will undoubtedly support a reference to provide potential molecular therapeutic targets and clinical treatments for treating NSCLC patients.

Milk thistle nano-micelle formulation promotes cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma cells through modulating miR-155-3p /SOCS2 /PHLDA1 signaling axis. (PubMed, BMC Complement Med Ther)
N-MT can regulate cancer cell death by arresting cell cycle and inducing apoptosis. This occurs through the alteration of apoptotic genes expression. A reduction in the expression of miR-155-3p and increase in the expression of SOCS2 and PHLDA1 after N-MT treatment showed the correlation between miR-155-3p and PHLDA1/SOCS2 found in bioinformatics analysis. While N-MT increased TP53 expression in HepG2, reduced it in Huh-7. The findings indicate that N-MT can function intelligently in cancer cells and can be a helpful complement to cancer treatment.
