Nucleoredoxin gene SINRX1 negatively regulates tomato immunity by activating SA signaling pathway. (PubMed, Plant Physiol Biochem)
These findings suggest that SlNRX1 acts as a negative regulator of plant immunity, facilitating infection by the Psm pathogen through interference with the phytohormone SA signaling pathway. Thus, targeted mutagenesis of SlNRX1 is a promising genetic means to enhance biotic stress resistance in crop breeding.

DNA methylation-regulated SNX20 overexpression correlates with poor prognosis, immune cell infiltration, and low-grade glioma progression. (PubMed, Aging (Albany NY))
Depletion of SNX20 significantly inhibits glioma cell proliferation and migration abilities. This is the first study to identify SNX20 as a new potential prognostic biomarker and characterize the functional roles of SNX20 in the progression of LGG, and provides a novel potential diagnostic and therapeutic biomarker for LGG in the future.

The Expression of RTN1 in Lung Adenocarcinoma and Its Effect on Immune Microenvironment (PubMed, Zhongguo Fei Ai Za Zhi)
RTN1 may act as a tumor suppressor gene and indicate better prognosis. Furthermore, RTN1 is associated with immune infiltration that may be involved in the immunotherapy response in LUAD. However, the related mechanism needs further research.

Our results suggested that SNX20 is a potential immune-related biomarker and therapeutic target associated with the prognosis of patients with LUAD. This provided a new strategy for the development of immunotherapeutic and prognostic markers in LUAD.

Our findings suggested that ncRNAs play a crucial role in the regulatory network of SNX20. Collectively, our findings demonstrate the suppressor roles of the SNX20AR/miRNA-301a-3p/SNX20 axis in Lung Adenocarcinoma, represent that SNX20 have the potential of as an effective therapeutic target in future.

The molecular basis of gender disparities in smoking lung cancer patients. (PubMed, Life Sci)
The strategic-method identified genes, particularly, SNX20, GIMAP6, MTMR2, FAM171B, IDH1, MOBP, FBXO17, LPXN and WIPF1, which were consistently differentially expressed in at least 4 studies, and in agreement with RNA-Seq data. Exploring their functions could be beneficial to the gender-based diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of lung cancer in smokers. The current meta-analysis supports existing knowledge of sexual-dimorphism of immune responses in cancer.
