The cytotoxic T cells in pRMS bear markers of exhaustion (LAG3, HAVCR2, EOMES), and the macrophages express myeloid checkpoint-related genes (SIGLEC1, SIRPA, CSF1R, HAVCR2). This transcriptomic data suggests that targeting MIF and APP signaling in pRMS may have therapeutic potential; however, studies on multiple-patient cohorts, protein verification, and in vitro and in vivo validation are still needed for clinical actionability.

A Novel CD58 Mutation-Related Signature Predicts Prognosis Risk in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma Patients. (PubMed, Cancer Res Treat)
To optimize risk stratification and survival prediction for CD58mut patients, biological mechanism of the poorer prognosis in high-risk group may be related to the greater abundance of immunosuppressive cells, especially M2 macrophages. Our results indicated that CD58mut could serve as a novel prognostic factor for DLBCL patients, and further exploration of personalized treatment strategies for high-risk DLBCL patients based on the risk score model is needed.

Gene expression analysis of patients with chronic myeloid leukemia who discontinued tyrosine kinase inhibitor. (PubMed, Ann Hematol)
NanoString analysis revealed significant differences in immune-related gene expression between relapsed and non-relapsed patients at the time of TKI discontinuation, including T cell-related genes such as SIGLEC1, ARG2, CD160, and IFNG. In conclusion, differences in expression of immune-related genes may provide a prognostic marker for relapse after TKI discontinuation in patients with CML.

All three macrophage markers correlated positively with Ann Arbor stage, indicating their potential involvement in the dissemination of cHL in general. Our findings suggest a potential role for tumor-associated macrophages in the dissemination of cHL to bone.

In conclusion, we found that CD169 expression was upregulated in older patients and tended to be related to T cell infiltration in cancer tissues. Therefore, the downregulation of CD169 in LSMs might be involved in the reduced anticancer immune response in prostate cancer.
