SCUBE1 (Signal Peptide, CUB Domain And EGF Like Domain Containing 1)

PD-L1 is upregulated in CRPC and can modulate the expression of multiple tumor-associated genes in CRPC cells. Finally, we found that PD-L1 contributes to tumor progression in CRPC by modulating the expression of SCUBE1. This study provides a theoretical basis for understanding the intracellular signaling mediated by PD-L1 and offers valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying castration resistance in prostate cancer.

The studies identified by this systematic literature review each analysed small patient groups but IMA, DD, and SCUBE1 nevertheless showed promise as serum biomarkers with a pooled LR > 10. However, further well-designed studies are needed to identify and evaluate individual markers or diagnostic panels to help clinicians manage this important organ-threatening condition.

Our findings observed substantial differences between endometrioid and non-endometrioid EC at the metabolite and protein levels, providing novel insights into gene-protein-metabolites interactions that could influence future EC treatments.

In addition to studies on human SCUBE function, experimental results from genetically modified mouse models have yielded important insights in the field of systems biology. In this review, we highlight novel molecular discoveries and critical directions for future research on SCUBE proteins in the context of cancer, skeletal disease and cardiovascular disease.
