Identification and analysis of metabolic reprogramming-related genes in triple-negative breast cancer. (PubMed, Clin Exp Med)
Our analysis accurately identified four genes-CLEC7A, IRS1, RSPO3, and ALB-that are closely correlated with the metabolic reprogramming characteristics of cancer, and could be regarded as innovative biomarkers for TNBC. This opens a new avenue for further investigation into the mechanisms of metabolic reprogramming in TNBC and new treatment strategies.

Unveiling CTRB2, RSPO3, KLOTB, and ROR1 as obesity-pancreatic disease association proteins: a comprehensive Mendelian randomization study. (PubMed, Gastroenterol Rep (Oxf))
In mediation analysis, decreased chymotrypsin B2 (CTRB2) levels mediated 1.03% (95% CI [confidence interval] 0.02%-2.03%) of the effects of body mass index on acute pancreatitis...We also found increased klotho beta (KLOTB) levels mediated the effects of waist-hip ratio (7.01%, 95% CI 3.30%-10.71%) and visceral adipose tissue (8.98%, 95% CI 4.55%-13.41%) on chronic pancreatitis, and decreased receptor tyrosine kinase-like orphan receptor 1 (ROR1) levels mediated the effects of body mass index (10.39%, 95% CI 3.36%-17.42%) and visceral adipose tissue (6.29%, 95% CI 1.00%-11.58%) on pancreatic carcinoma. The MR suggests that circulating CTRB2, RSPO3, KLOTB, and ROR1 proteins may mediate associations between obesity and pancreatic diseases.

The intestinal availability (Fg) of midazolam [0.13 or 0.15 for LLI (BM) and 0.23 or 0.27 for ALI] closely matched the in vivo value (0.15)...SIGNIFICANCE STATEMENT: The study successfully established an in vitro model to investigate drug transport and metabolism in differentiated cells derived from 3D spheroids of the dog duodenum, upper jejunum, and ileum, under both liquid-liquid and air-liquid interface conditions. The platform will be used to address species differences in drug absorption and pre-systemic metabolism between experimental animals and humans although their applicability to cells across other dogs and species needs to be validated in future studies.

Discovery of novel diagnostic biomarkers of hepatocellular carcinoma associated with immune infiltration. (PubMed, Ann Med)
Furthermore, RSPO3 exhibited a positive correlation with tumour progression, the proportion of plasma cells and M2 macrophages in mice, while showing a negative association with M1 macrophages. The present study identified ECM1, NPC1L1 and RSPO3 as new diagnostic biomarkers for HCC based on normal and diseased samples from HCC, meanwhile the pro-oncogenic function of RSPO3 and its regulation on immune infiltration have been confirmed.
