The RNA-Binding Protein RBMX Mediates the Immunosuppressive Microenvironment of Osteosarcoma by Regulating CD8+T Cells. (PubMed, Cancers (Basel))
Finally, cell communication and in vitro experimental verification revealed that knocking out RBMX might enhance the infiltration of CD8+T cells by upregulating histocompatibility 2, K1, and K region (H2-K1) and downregulating thrombospondin 1 (THBS1). This study may provide potential targets for reshaping the immune microenvironment of osteosarcoma and improving its therapeutic efficacy.

Alternative splicing in the RBMXL1 5'-UTR induces uORF-mediated translation control in activated B lymphocytes. (PubMed, Sci Rep)
Our findings indicate that the RBMXL1 uORF is functional and that its presence results in the downregulation of the translation of the downstream primary ORF. Regulation of this alternative splicing may therefore play an important role in the fine-tuning of the global level of RBMX/RBMXL1 proteins in the cells.

Spliceosomic dysregulation in pancreatic cancer uncovers splicing factors PRPF8 and RBMX as novel candidate actionable targets. (PubMed, Mol Oncol)
Experimental modulation of these splicing factors in pancreatic cancer cell lines reverted their expression to non-tumor levels and resulted in decreased key tumor-related features. These results provide evidence that the splicing machinery is altered in PDAC, wherein PRPF8 and RBMX emerge as candidate actionable therapeutic targets.

The results showed that knockdown of RBMX can impair the proliferation, migration, and invasion of liver cancer cells. Finally, we indicated that RBMX may play an immunoregulatory role in cancer progression, affecting the therapeutic effects of immune checkpoint inhibitors in patients with cancer.

Cellular thermal shift and RIP assay indicated that nebivolol may compete with MALAT1 to bind TRA2A. In conclusion, our study revealed the noncanonical function of TRA2A, which coordinates with multiple methylation proteins to promote oncogenic MALAT1 during ESCA carcinogenesis.

Comprehensive analysis of m6A related gene mutation characteristics and prognosis in colorectal cancer. (PubMed, BMC Med Genomics)
Our study identified novel prognostic markers associated with immune of CRC cancer patients. Moreover, the potential mechanisms of prognostic markers in regulating the etiology of CRC cancer were investigated. These findings enrich our understanding of the relationships between m6a related genes and CRC, and may provide novel ideas in the therapy of CRC patients.
