    Disulfidptosis-related genes signature predicts prognosis and immune microenvironment in colon cancer. (PubMed, Front Mol Biosci)
    As a risk factor, RAB7A relating to poor prognosis was identified in our study, and was a potential target for therapeutic agents such as PLX4720 and PD-0325901, while OXSM was the opposite. The 5-DRGs prognostic model can be used to assess the prognosis of patients with CC, and reflect the characteristics of their immune microenvironment. With RAB7A and OXSM as key determinants, this model provides a clinically applicable framework for risk stratification and personalized treatment guidance.

    Abnormal fat distribution in two patients with RAB7A-associated Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 2B: a case report. (PubMed, BMC Neurol)
    Our case suggests that abnormal fat distribution may be a novel phenotypic feature in individuals with RAB7A-related CMT2B. Recognizing this manifestation may provide clinical insight into the lipid dysregulation and systemic effects in patients with CMT2B.

    Targeting RAB7 in human B lymphoma by a small molecule inhibitor arrests tumor cell growth. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
    The inhibitory effect of CID1067700 on Daudi cell growth in vitro is further enhanced by methyl-β-cyclodextrin, which disrupts plasma membrane lipid rafts, and by FX1, a BCL6 inhibitor. These findings, together with the unfavorable prognosis of DLBCL patients showing high RAB7A expression, suggest that targeting RAB7 is a promising therapeutic approach for mature B cell-derived lymphomas.

    Investigating the impact of Ras-related protein RAB7A on colon adenocarcinoma behavior and its clinical significance. (PubMed, Biofactors)
    In vitro cellular assays, coupled with knockdown strategies, demonstrated that RAB7A promotes COAD tumor proliferation and invasion, a finding further substantiated by in vivo xenograft experiments. RAB7A may serve as a valuable biomarker and potential therapeutic target in the management of COAD.

    In patients, RAB5A, RAB7A, and GDI2 expression correlates with patient survival and αVβ6 expression predicts relapse following trastuzumab treatment. Thus, the RAB5/RAB7A/GDI2 subnetwork regulates αVβ6-HER2 cross-talk to drive breast cancer invasion but is subverted in trastuzumab-resistant cells to drive αVβ6-independent and HER2-independent tumor progression.

    CircGPC3 promotes hepatocellular carcinoma progression and metastasis by sponging miR-578 and regulating RAB7A/PSME3 expression. (PubMed, Sci Rep)
    Mechanistically, circGPC3 promoted HCC proliferation and metastasis through the miR-578/RAB7A/PSME3 axis. Our results demonstrate that circGPC3 contributes to the progression of HCC and provides an intervention target for HCC.

    miR-3200 accelerates the growth of liver cancer cells by enhancing Rab7A. (PubMed, Noncoding RNA Res)
    Furthermore, our results suggest that miR-3200 enhances expression of RAB7A, and then Rab7A regulates the carcinogenic function of miR-3200 by increasing telomere remodeling in human liver cancer. These results are of great significance for the prevention and treatment of human liver cancer.
