Microwave dynamic therapy induces ferroptosis in colorectal cancer by targeting PTK2B to regulate STAT3-mediated GPX4 expression. (PubMed, Mol Biomed)
MWDT inhibited PTK2B expression, suppressed STAT3 phosphorylation, and subsequently downregulated GPX4 transcription, thereby inducing ferroptosis. Our findings are the first to demonstrate that MWDT mediates ferroptosis in CRC via the PTK2B/STAT3/GPX4 axis, offering novel theoretical insights for its comprehensive treatment.

Our study revealed a previously unknown mechanism: identification of T6BP as a key eliminator of fatty liver strongly contributes to the development of promising therapeutic targets, and the discovery of crucial fragments of T6BP-based pharmacon that interrupt PYK2 dimerization are novel and viable treatments for fatty liver and its advanced symptoms and complications.

Finally, we constructed a prognosis prediction model based on three age-related genes (PTK2B, E2F1, and GHR) that showed satisfactory performance in predicting patients prognosis. We comprehensively investigated the complex interplay between age and biological features of DTC, which may provide new insights into the role of aging in DTC.

The data acquired from cBioPortal for non-Puerto Rican Hispanic patients supported the correlations found in the Puerto Rican population for both sexes. Our findings reveal distinct correlations in gene expression patterns, particularly involving PTK2, PTK2B, NGFR, PDGFRB, and EGFR among Puerto Rican Hispanic patients when compared to non-Hispanic counterparts.

Preclinical efficacy of RAF/MEK clamp avutometinib in combination with FAK inhibition in low grade serous ovarian cancer. (PubMed, Gynecol Oncol)
Avutometinib, and to a larger extent its combination with FAK inhibitor VS-4718, demonstrated promising in vivo activity against a KRAS wild-type LGSOC-PDX. These data support the ongoing registration-directed study (RAMP201/NCT04625270).

Our results showed that LOC102163816 sponged miR-455-3p, promoting expression of protein tyrosine kinase 2 beta (PTK2B), thereby activating the PI3 K/AKT signaling pathway to regulate proliferation of porcine follicular GCs. These findings provide useful insights into follicular development.

Identification of cuproptosis and immune-related gene prognostic signature in lung adenocarcinoma. (PubMed, Front Immunol)
The results of the study indicate significantly reduced survival rates in both the training and validation sets among the high-risk group. Additionally, the high-risk group displayed lower levels of immune cell infiltration and expression of immune checkpoint compared to the low-risk group.
