Acetylation of microtubule-binding PinX1 orchestrates ribosome biogenesis to nutrient starvation via the RNA polymerase I preinitiation complex. (PubMed, J Biol Chem)
Upon nutrient starvation, PinX1 is acetylated at K43, K133, K140, K149, K190, K222, which hinders its binding to POLR1G leading to disassembly of PIC. Collectively, our findings uncover a novel role of PinX1 and its acetylation, fine-tuning nucleolar transcription to stress signaling.

Common variants of pro-inflammatory gene IL1B and interactions with PPP1R13L and POLR1G in relation to lung cancer among Northeast Chinese. (PubMed, Sci Rep)
Using multifactor dimensionality reduction (MDR) analyses, we identified the three best candidate models of interactions and smoking-duration or IL1B rs1143633 as main effect. In conclusion, our findings suggest that IL1B SNP rs1143633 may associate with lower risk of lung cancer, confirming previously identified marker; IL1B SNP rs3136558 and haplotype4 consisting of IL1B htSNPs may associate with increasing risk of lung cancer; interactions of IL1B with POLR1G or PPP1R13L or smoking-duration, which is independent or combined, may involve in risk of lung cancer and lung squamous cell carcinoma.

In summary, a characteristic model based on our three RBPs accurately predicted the prognosis of EC. Our in-depth analysis of these RBPs may inform the development of novel strategies for the diagnosis and treatment of EC.

Comprehensive landscape of the functions and prognostic value of RNA binding proteins in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma. (PubMed, Front Mol Biosci)
Our work focused on systematically analyzing a large cohort of Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma patients in the The Cancer Genome Atlas database. We subsequently constructed a robust prognostic model based on seven RNA binding proteins that may soon inform individualized diagnosis and treatment.

Finally, a nomogram was established based on the risk score to predict the survival time of patients from 1 to 5 years. The nomogram has good predictive value for the survival time of liver cancer patients.

TP53 common variants and interaction with PPP1R13L and CD3EAP SNPs and lung cancer risk and smoking behavior in a Chinese population. (PubMed, Biomed J)
The present results provide novel evidence that the haplotype of TP53 htSNPs and interaction between genetic variation in TP53 and CD3EAP and smoking-duration may associate with lung cancer risk, and provide additional evidence of association between TP53 htSNP haplotypes and long-term smoking-related behavior.

In general, interference with AP003469.4 expression might delay the progression of HCC. AP003469.4 related network could help to identify the hub target molecules in HCC progression, which might be candidate biomarkers for evaluating the prognosis of HCC patients.
