We also examine structures affected by a transcription inhibitor, flavopiridol...Along with a reduction in peroxisome function, dissociation of peroxisome pore proteins PEX13 and PEX14 was detected by STORM microscopy. We conclude that SEC-MS combined with crosslinking is a valuable method to detect and quantify drug or disease effects on subcellular structures and may shed light on new aspects to mechanisms underlying their biologic outcomes.

Cell Counting Kit-8, wound healing, Transwell and colony formation assays displayed that PEX13 knockdown could suppress PAAD cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and colony formation in vitro, respectively. Overall, PEX13 is a potential predictor of immunotherapeutic and prognostic biomarkers in various malignant tumors, including ACC, KICH, LGG, LIHC and PAAD.

Integrated analysis of single-cell and bulk RNA sequencing data reveals a pan-cancer stemness signature predicting immunotherapy response. (PubMed, Genome Med)
We revealed a robust link between cancer stemness and immunotherapy resistance and developed a promising signature, Stem.Sig, which showed increased performance in comparison to other signatures regarding ICI response prediction. This signature could serve as a competitive tool for patient selection of immunotherapy. Meanwhile, our study potentially paves the way for overcoming immune resistance by targeting stemness-associated genes.

Our study compares genome-wide screening interactomics predictions for melanoma factors and offers new information for understanding melanogenesis- and anti-apoptosis-associated mechanisms in melanoma. Especially, YWHAB was newly detected as a core factor in melanoma cells.

Tegaserod Maleate Inhibits Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Proliferation by Suppressing the Peroxisome Pathway. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
Importantly, tegaserod maleate repressed ESCC tumor growth in a patient-derived xenograft (PDX) model in vivo. Our findings conclusively demonstrated that tegaserod maleate inhibits the proliferation of ESCC by suppressing the peroxisome pathway.
