THBS1 as a candidate biomarker and fibrotic mediator in radiation-induced liver injury: insights from TMT-labeled quantitative proteomics. (PubMed, Front Pharmacol)
We knocked down THBS1 in rat (BRL, BRL-3A) and human (THLE-2) hepatocytes using siRNA and applied Ruxolitinib to inhibit the JAK2/STAT3 pathway, further clarifying the role of THBS1 in this signaling process...In addition, plasma ELISA revealed that the concentration of THBS1 in plasma increased with increasing radiation dose and degree of RILI, which was consistent with the expression level in the liver tissue. This study provides new insights into the pathogenesis of RILI, and identifies THBS1 as a potential biomarker for RILI diagnosis and monitoring.

Knockdown of MEF2C inhibited the pro-angiogenic activity of MCAM+ myCAFs both in vitro and in vivo MCAM+ myCAFs promote the transcription of pro-angiogenic factors through MEF2C, thereby enhancing angiogenesis and promoting tumor growth in solid-type ACC.

Identification of the key immune gene NR3C1 as a diagnostic biomarker in differentiating ovarian borderline tumors from benign tumors. (PubMed, Front Cell Dev Biol)
In addition, NR3C1 negatively correlated with CD4 memory resting T cells, as well as positively correlated with T cells gamma delta (P < 0.05). Notably, four proteins including plasminogen activator urokinase (PLAU), platelet-derived growth factor subunit A (PDGFA), matrix metalloproteinase 3 (MMP3), and neuroblastoma RAS viral oncogene homolog (NRAS) were identified within the prostate cancer pathway, highlighting their potential as biomarkers for the early diagnosis and prognosis of prostate cancer. In conclusion, this study introduced EVlent as a robust platform for the efficient isolation and proteomics analysis of EVs, providing valuable insight into urinary EV biomarkers and their clinical prostate-cancer applications.
