The present study showed that NDRG1 may induce metastasis and invasion through EMT and immune cell infiltration. NDRG1 could be used as a biomarker for the diagnosis and prognosis of HCC and could be a potential therapeutic target in HCC.

Thus, our results showed that PKCδ reduced the expression of NDRG1 through c-Myc, promoting the invasion and migration of CRC through promoting EMT. The increased expression of PKCδ in CRC tumor tissue could promote the invasion and migration of tumor cells, and one of the mechanisms may be regulating c-Myc to inhibit the expression of NDRG1 and promote EMT.

Overexpression of NDRG1 and NDRG3 and down-expression of NDRG2 are correlated with poor overall HCC prognosis. Our results may provide new insights into the indispensable role of NDRG1, 2, and 3 in the development of HCC and guide a promising new strategy for treating HCC.

In summary, our findings point out that NDR1 functions as a tumor suppressor in GBM. NDR1 is identified as a novel regulator of YAP, which gives us an in-depth comprehension of the Hippo signaling pathway.
