Integrated miRNA-mRNA Analyses of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer in Black and White Patients with or Without Obesity. (PubMed, Int J Mol Sci)
Pathway enrichment analysis highlighted KRAS, ESR1, ESR2, RAB10, TNRC6C, and NCAN as the most commonly differentially expressed in EA, whereas ERBB4, PLCB1, and SERPINE1 were most frequently in AA. These findings highlight the importance of considering race-specific miRNA-mRNA signatures in understanding TNBC in the context of obesity, offering insights into biomarker-driven patient stratification for targeted therapeutic strategies.

Cellular imbalance of specific RNA binding proteins associates with harmful R-loops. (PubMed, PLoS Genet)
Our results indicate that changes in the availability of different RBPs or RNAs, causes R-loop-mediated DNA damage in the cell. These results may help to understand the mechanism that promotes cancer, as several RBPs are overexpressed in different types of tumors.

Reduced UPF1 levels in senescence impair nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. (PubMed, Commun Biol)
Moreover, knockdown of UPF1 in proliferating WI-38 cells induces senescence, as evidenced by increased senescence-associated β-galactosidase activity, alterations in senescence-associated molecular markers, increased endogenous γ-H2AX levels, and reduced cell proliferation. These findings suggest that the decline in UPF1 levels during cellular senescence accelerates the senescent phenotype by impairing NMD activity and the consequent accumulation of abnormal mRNA.

IGF2BP3/NCBP1 complex inhibits renal tubular senescence through regulation of CDK6 mRNA stability. (PubMed, Transl Res)
Clinical data also suggests an age-related decrease in IGF2BP3 and CDK6 levels in renal tissue or serum samples from patients. These findings suggest that IGF2BP3/CDK6 may be a promising target in cisplatin-induced tubular senescence and renal failure.

NCBP1 enhanced proliferation of DLBCL cells via METTL3-mediated m6A modification of c-Myc. (PubMed, Sci Rep)
Mechanistically, the expression of c-MYC is regulated by NCBP1-enhanced METTL3, and the NCBP1/METTL3/mA/c-MYC axis is important for DLBCL progression. We identified a new pathway for DLBCL progression and suggest innovative ideas for molecular targeted therapy of DLBCL.
