Genetic alterations in the neuronal development genes are associated with changes of the tumor immune microenvironment in pancreatic cancer. (PubMed, Ann Pancreat Cancer)
In contrast, the copy number gain in fewer genes, including NRXN3, ZNF667, ACSM3, C6, ADCY5, SCN9A, and PRKCE, is significantly associated with changes in immune cell infiltrates. Our study suggested that neuronal development genes play a role in modulating TME in a pancreatic cancer setting.

Tumor cell-intrinsic factors promoting fibrotic tumor microenvironment in gastric cancer (AACR 2023)
Bioinformatic analyses of a publicly available genomic and transcriptomic dataset revealed a fibroblast-rich and immune-excluded population in GC patients. Several GPCR signaling in tumor cells were strongly correlated with fibroblast abundance in tumors, and these signaling pathways have potential roles in promoting the stroma-rich GC microenvironment.

Additionally, four cancer-associated genes (CARD11, CSMD3, KDR, and TLX3) carried untranslated regions (UTRs) variants, which may impact gene regulation by affecting the miRNAs hybridization regions. Altogether, these data contribute to the characterization of the mutational spectrum and its impact on cellular signaling pathways in PSCC, thus reinforcing the pivotal role of HPV infection in the molecular pathogenesis of these tumors.

Coexistence of a novel NBEA-ALK, EML4-ALK double-fusion in a lung adenocarcinoma patient and response to alectinib: A case report. (PubMed, Lung Cancer)
This is the first report on one patient with a novel NBEA-ALK, EML4-ALK double-ALK fusion beneficial from alectinib. Alectinib may be a viable therapeutic option for NSCLC patients with double-ALK fusion, and liquid biopsy could dynamically monitor clinical curative effect.
