Genomic Associations of Chemoimmunotherapy Outcomes in a Real-World Cohort of Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) Patients (IASLC-WCLC 2023)
Though subset analysis of randomized clinical trials did not show a predictive benefit of high TMB in patients who received chemoimmunotherapy in SCLC, we found that high TMB may be a prognostic factor in SCLC patients receiving chemotherapy +/- PD-L1 ICI. Although our study did not find GA associated with exceptionally favorable TTNT, further studies focused on specific alterations are needed to investigate additional genomic markers of chemoimmunotherapy effectiveness in SCLC, including RNA expression analysis.

Comprehensive clinical and genomic analysis for patients with MYC, MYCN, and MYCL amplified solid tumors (AACR 2023)
While MYCf amplification is observed across a broad range of cancer types, factors such as gene type (MYC, MYCN, MYCL), focality, total copy number, clonality, and concurrent oncogenic drivers vary widely. Novel MYC-directed trials may consider enrichment for a subpopulation of cancers with higher-level, focal, and clonal MYCf amplifications without concurrent other drivers.

Carcinoma with Triphasic Differentiation Arising from Inverted Papilloma in Sinonasal Sinus: A Rare Case with Molecular Characterization. (PubMed, Diagnostics (Basel))
Oncogenic mutations such as FBXW7, TP53, and EGFR were detected in both SNEC and sarcomatoid carcinoma, and MYCL amplification was observed only in the SNEC component. This case highlights an extremely rare presentation of combined SNEC and sarcomatoid carcinoma arising from an inverted papilloma in the sinonasal sinus.

MYCL1 Amplification and Expression of L-Myc and c-Myc in Surgically Resected Small-Cell Lung Carcinoma. (PubMed, Pathol Oncol Res)
3/46 (6.5%) was positive for L-myc protein expression, and 4/46 (8.7%) was positive for c-Myc protein expression. Our study firstly multidimensional explored the expression of MYCL1 amplification, L-Myc and c-Myc protein and investigated clinicopathological characteristics and survival status in patients with surgically resected SCLC, which makes a contribution to subsequent research and therapeutic strategies.
