    Furthermore, in vivo studies validated that NC9 significantly reduces lung metastasis and is well-tolerated, with no observed significant organ toxicity. Our findings establish TG2 as a prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target, with its transamidase-dependent MVP-ERK1/2 axis offering a novel therapeutic strategy against basal-like BC.

    When applied to the full MVP cohort (N = 121,808), 13.2% had gastric intestinal metaplasia (mean age 65 years) and 14.5% had Barrett's esophagus (mean age 64 years). This study confirms the ability to use NLP on large-scale unstructured data linked to robust genetic and clinical data for future gastroesophageal precancer analyses and to inform targeted prevention and/or early detection interventions (eg, endoscopic surveillance).

    Sorafenib generates microvesicle particles in non-small cell lung cancer. (PubMed, Tumor Discov)
    Moreover, co-treatment with imipramine enhanced the cytotoxic effects of sorafenib, suggesting that targeting MVP-associated pathways may improve sorafenib response. Collectively, these findings offer mechanistic insight into how sorafenib modulates MVP release and supports the therapeutic potential of combining tyrosine kinase inhibitors with agents that disrupt MVP biogenesis in NSCLC.

    Lactylation-driven MVP upregulation boosts immunotherapy resistance by inhibiting PD-L1 degradation in hepatocellular carcinoma. (PubMed, J Immunother Cancer)
    Our findings demonstrate that histone lactylation promotes ICIs resistance via MVP-dependent PD-L1 stabilization. Therefore, targeting lactylation in combination with programmed cell death protein-1/PD-L1 blockade offers a promising strategy to overcome immunotherapy resistance in HCC.

    LLMs provided excellent accuracy in extracting the diagnoses of interest from EHRs. Our validated methods generalised to unstructured pathology notes, even withstanding challenges of resource-limited computing environments. This may, therefore, be a promising approach for other clinical phenotypes given the minimal human-led development required.

    Association of HOXB13 G84E With Prostate Cancer Among 592,158 Men. (PubMed, J Natl Compr Canc Netw)
    In the largest cohort of men with the HOXB13 p.G84E variant studied to date, we demonstrate a moderately increased lifetime risk of PrCa. However, the PrCa that develops is not more aggressive, although it may occur at younger ages. Further research is warranted to determine whether early PrCa screening in HOXB13 p.G84E heterozygotes improves outcomes.

    Investigation into the sensitivity of adipocytes mediated by the major vault protein (MVP) to chemotherapy for triple-negative breast cancer. (PubMed, Transl Cancer Res)
    Notably, our results suggest that cocultured breast cancer cells may modulate MVP expression via the Notch1 signaling pathway. Overall, this study provides evidence that adipocytes could influence the chemosensitivity of TNBC cells to docetaxel via MVP expression.
