    Tangeretin inhibits airway inflammatory responses by reducing early growth response 1 (EGR1) expression in mice exposed to cigarette smoke and lipopolysaccharide. (PubMed, Heliyon)
    Comprehensively, tangeretin inhibits the lung inflammatory response associated with COPD by reducing EGR1 expression in PMA-induced human epithelial cells and in a CS/LPS-stimulated mouse model. This study shows that tangeretin has anti-COPD properties and can be a promising alternative (or complementary) treatment for inflammatory lung disease.

    Endoscopic and clinicopathological features of early gastric papillary adenocarcinoma. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
    Endoscopic findings of a raised lesion with a uniform color under endoscopy and the presence of VEC structures under ME-NBI suggest a high possibility of EGPA. Moreover, smaller VEC structures were associated with a higher degree of malignancy, which may assist in guiding the selection of biopsy sites under endoscopy.

    Clinicopathologic and Genomic Features of Invasive Stratified Mucin-producing Carcinoma of the Uterine Cervix Coexisting With High-grade Squamous Intraepithelial Lesion. (PubMed, Int J Gynecol Pathol)
    No copy number-associated variants or structural variations were identified in either lesion. These results suggest that patients with ISMC may benefit from PD-L1 immunotherapy and targeted therapy.

    The findings were suggestive of infiltration by poorly differentiated carcinoma of probable gastric origin. Unfortunately, during hospital admission the patient presented a progressive clinical deterioration and died two weeks later.

    Molecular genetic analysis of colorectal carcinoma with an aggressive extraintestinal immunohistochemical phenotype. (PubMed, Sci Rep)
    CK7 + tumors showed intriguingly common (31.6%) BRAF V600E mutations corelating with poor prognosis, compared to the frequency described in the literature and databases. Further research on larger cohorts with a non-colorectal immunophenotype and high MUC4 expression is needed.

    Novel BRD4-p53 Inhibitor SDU-071 Suppresses Proliferation and Migration of MDA-MB-231 Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Cells. (PubMed, ACS Pharmacol Transl Sci)
    Its antitumor activity is illustrated in an orthotopic mouse xenograft mammary tumor model. Overall, our results show that SDU-071 is a viable option for potentially treating TNBC as a new BRD4-p53 inhibitor.
