Bilateral serous surface papillary borderline ovarian tumor with non-invasive implantation: a case report. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
Given the tumor's indolent growth pattern and low recurrence rate, fertility-sparing surgery is feasible for patients desiring reproductive preservation. This report systematically summarizes the ultrasonographic characteristics of SSPBOTs, aiming to enhance diagnostic accuracy and provide evidence-based support for fertility preservation strategies in young patients.

Dual-cycle signal amplification on an Au@CeO2-x/Bi2MoO6 platform: Toward an ultrasensitive and enzyme-free sandwich immunosensor for CA125 in clinical diagnostics. (PubMed, Biosens Bioelectron)
This enzyme-free strategy provides the immunosensor with an ultra-wide linear range (0.0005-100 U mL-1) and an ultralow detection limit (0.00049 U mL-1), enabling accurate quantification of CA125 in diverse human serum samples. Moreover, the immunosensor demonstrates high selectivity, excellent reproducibility, and stable performance over 18 days, underscoring its robustness and clinical potential for the detection of trace CA125 in complex biological matrices.

Role of preoperative serum CA-125 and fibrinogen levels in predicting lymph node metastasis, myometrial invasion, and lymphovascular space invasion in patients with endometrial cancer. (PubMed, Eur J Obstet Gynecol Reprod Biol)
Preoperative CA-125 level in patients with endometrial cancer is associated with MI, LVSI and LNM. CA-125 remained an independent predictor of LNM in both the preoperative and postoperative models, whereas fibrinogen did not retain independent significance in multivariable analyses. Incorporating CA-125 into the Mayo low-risk criteria increased sensitivity for detecting LNM. These findings suggest that combining biochemical markers with clinical and pathological variables may enhance surgical planning, and support the personalization of postoperative treatment strategies.

A case report of red degeneration of a uterine fibroid mimicking ovarian malignancy in the postpartum period: a diagnostic challenge. (PubMed, Ann Med Surg (Lond))
Red degeneration should be part of the differential diagnosis when a postpartum woman presents with an abdominopelvic mass, especially if she has a known fibroid. This case underscores the importance of integrating clinical, biochemical, and radiologic data in the diagnosis of uterine fibroids - while remaining open to alternate benign diagnoses at the same time - to avoid overtreatment or delayed appropriate management.

Unique clinical features and transcriptomic profiling of carcinogenesis in patients with familial lung cancer in Yunnan Province, Wumeng mountains, China. (PubMed, Respir Res)
Hereditary factors likely contribute to the susceptibility to both lung cancer and hypertension in this population, while chronic exposure to local air pollution may further promote their early-onset and comorbidity. Our findings highlighted the potential significance of MUC16 in familial lung cancer or even early-onset lung cancer; and provided useful data for early screening and personalized treatment strategies for lung cancer.

Gut microbiota composition and systemic immune-inflammatory marker correlations in infertile women with endometriosis: a pilot case-control study. (PubMed, Front Cell Infect Microbiol)
These initial observations point to a possible association between gut microbiota imbalance and the inflammatory aspects of endometriosis-associated infertility. Consequently, microbial modulation merits further investigation as a potential strategy to alleviate inflammation and potentially enhance reproductive outcomes.

Machine learning-based programmed cell death signature model for precise prediction of prognosis and treatment response in melanoma (PubMed, Zhong Nan Da Xue Xue Bao Yi Xue Ban)
PCDS is a cross-cohort robust tool for predicting melanoma prognosis and immunotherapy benefit, reflecting the degree of immunosuppression in the tumor immune microenvironment and myeloid/macrophage-related immunoregulatory features, and provides a basis for individualized risk stratification and potential drug selection. This study provides an in-depth elucidation of the regulatory mechanisms of PCD in the tumor immune microenvironment and offers an important theoretical foundation for personalized treatment decision-making in melanoma patients.

Diagnostic significance of the combination of serum CCL20 and Oncostatin M for early-stage endometrial cancer. (PubMed, Biomarkers)
The diagnostic test combining serum CCL20 and Oncostatin M in endometrioid carcinoma demonstrated an AUC of 0.855, with a sensitivity of 68.00% and a specificity of 92.86%, comparable to that in the whole early-stage endometrial carcinoma group (AUC = 0.867). Combined detection of serum CCL20 and Oncostatin M may offer a promising adjunctive approach for the diagnosis of early-stage EC, with their levels correlated to sex hormone and clinicopathological characteristics.
