Hsa_circRNA_BECN1 acts as a ceRNA to promote polycystic ovary syndrome progression by sponging the miR-619-5p/Rab5b axis. (PubMed, Mol Hum Reprod)
In summary, our findings indicate that circ_BECN1 is upregulated in PCOS GCs and promotes cell growth and cell cycle progression and reduces cell apoptosis by modulating the miR-619-5p/Rab5b axis. Therefore, circ_BECN1 may serve as a potential therapeutic target for PCOS treatment.

Identification of hsa-miR-619-5p and hsa-miR-4454 in plasma-derived exosomes as a potential biomarker for lung adenocarcinoma. (PubMed, Front Genet)
The target genes of miRNAs were screened by bioinformatics methods, and the regulatory network between miRNAs and lncRNAs and mRNAs was studied. Our work demonstrated that hsa-miR-4454 and hsa-miR-619-5p have the potential to be used as biomarkers for the early diagnosis of lung adenocarcinoma.

Serum exosomal has-miR-1273 g-3p, has-miR-4793-3p and has-miR-619-5p can be used as new diagnostic biomarkers for GC. Among them, serum exosomal hsa-miR-1273 g-3p / hsa-miR-4793-3p targets MELK and hsa-miR-619-5p targets NCAPG2 were identified as novel mechanisms involved in the development of GC. It provides new targets for the diagnosis and treatment of GC by exo-miRNAs.

Circ-FAT1 Up-Regulates FOSL2 Expression by Sponging miR-619-5p to Facilitate Colorectal Cancer Progression. (PubMed, Biochem Genet)
Pre-clinically, lentivirus-mediated circ-FAT1 knockdown inhibited the tumorigenesis of CRC xenografts in nude mice via regulating miR-619-5p and FOSL2. Circ-FAT1 knockdown repressed FOSL2 expression by sponging miR-619-5p to suppress CRC tumorigenesis, providing a potential approach for CRC therapeutics.

Subsequent liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and tandem mass spectroscopy (LC-MS/MS) profiling of the intracellular metabolome and the lipidome of GBM cells with dysregulated miRNA expression confirmed the alteration in the metabolite levels associated with lipid metabolism. The identification of regional miRNA expression signatures may underlie the metabolic heterogeneity within the GBM tumour and understanding this relationship may open new avenues for the GBM treatment.

In the defined associations of target genes and miRNAs, miRNA BSs are organized into clusters of multiple BSs, which facilitate the design and the development of a system of chips that can be used to control the state of miRNA and target genes associations in gastric cancer.
