A Pilot Study of Exploring miRNA-Protein Interaction Networks in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Patients: Implications for Diagnosis and Prognosis. (PubMed, Diagnostics (Basel))
The results emphasize the clinical relevance of integrating multi-layered analyses of miRNA-protein interactions. The observed associations highlight the role of these molecular markers in tumor progression and patient survival and offer promising opportunities for future research and clinical application in precision oncology.

Omics Study of Ovarian Malignancies: From Urine Metabolomic Profile to Minimally Invasive MicroRNA Markers (PubMed, Mol Biol (Mosk))
Thus, significant metabolomic imbalance in the urine was observed in the OC patients and was associated with changes in the levels of microRNAs that regulate the signaling pathways of the metabolites. The 26 compounds with abnormal concentrations and the levels of the microRNAs miR-33b-5p, miR-423-5p, miR-6843-3p, miR-4668-3p, miR-30c-5p, miR-6743-5p, miR-4742-5p, miR-1207-5p, and miR-17-5p in the urine were considered to be suitable as noninvasive diagnostic markers of OC.

Alteration in Levels of Specific miRNAs and Their Potential Protein Targets between Human Pancreatic Cancer Samples, Adjacent Normal Tissue, and Xenografts Derived from These Tumors. (PubMed, Life (Basel))
Prominent among the protein targets are enzymes involved in aldehyde metabolism and membrane transport and trafficking. These results may help to uncover vulnerabilities that could enable novel approaches to treating pancreatic cancer.

miR-4742-5p promotes invasiveness of gastric cancer via targeting Rab43: An in vitro study. (PubMed, Biochem Biophys Res Commun)
We identified that the expression of Rab43 is associated with activation of AKT and nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) which are key oncogenic pathways in cancer cells. Our results demonstrate a new component in GC progression, promising a potential therapeutic strategy.
