    Gastric Cancer Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition-The Role of Micro-RNA. (PubMed, Cancers (Basel))
    Several EMT-related miRNAs show consistent associations with invasion, metastasis, peritoneal dissemination, prognosis, and chemoresistance, and many are detectable in circulation. Overall, EMT-related miRNAs orchestrate gastric cancer cell plasticity and tumor-microenvironment crosstalk and represent promising biomarker and therapeutic candidates that warrant validation in prospective, subtype-stratified, and translational studies.

    Anti-atherosclerotic role of microRNA-218-5p via regulating the TNFRSF11A/NF-κB/NLRP3/caspase-1 pyroptosis pathway. (PubMed, Cytotechnology)
    miR-218-5p agomir treatment reduced cell pyroptosis in aorta of AS model mice and improved AS. Briefly, miR-218-5p repressed TNFRSF11A, repressed the NF-κB signaling, and disrupted NLRP3/caspase-1 activation, thereby alleviating pyroptosis and contributing to the improvement of AS.

    Thus, in this comprehensive narrative review, we map the range of candidate ncRNAs reported in the literature and discuss their predictive, diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic value, including their potential as circulating biomarkers in CC. We also highlight, as a future perspective, how integrated profiling approaches could guide research and support the development of non-invasive strategies for diagnosis, prognostic assessment, and therapy monitoring in CC.

    MicroRNAs and lung cancer: overview of essential pathways and somatic mutations in cancer progression. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
    Specifically, we highlight the modulatory roles of miRNA in cancer cell survival and proliferation (miR-28, miR-30b/c), invasion and metastasis (miR-218, miR-182), neoangiogenesis (miR-29c), metabolic reprogramming (miR-124), and therapy resistance (miR-378, miR-328, miR-1244). The broad implications of miRNAs in lung cancer underline their potential real-world utility, as these entities can function as biomarkers for prognosis/diagnosis and even future therapeutic targets or agents.
