This study substantiates the dual role of DNA methylation detection in cervical cancer screening. By incorporating methylation detection, the existing HPV-based screening strategy can be further optimized to achieve precise risk stratification and facilitate the shift from cervical cancer screening to personalized and precise management.

Rutin alleviates pirarubicin-induced cardiotoxicity and enhances chemosensitivity in breast cancer. (PubMed, Phytomedicine)
Rutin mitigates THP-induced cardiotoxicity and enhances chemotherapeutic efficacy via the novel miR-129-1-3p/GRIN2D pathway. Our data show miR-129-1-3p to be an essential mediator, and suggest that the rutin-miR-129-1-3p-GRIN2D axis is a favorable target for improving the safety and effectiveness of breast cancer chemotherapy.

Indeed, for the pairs miR-127-5p/miR-125b-5p, miR-148a-3p/miR-125b-5p, miR-148a-3p/miR-132-3p, and miR-34b-3p/miR-193a-5p, common mRNA targets and involvement in biological processes, including pathways associated with epigenetic regulation, proliferation, and metastasis, were revealed. The miRNA-mRNA regulatory network constructed involving DNMTs and EZH2 highlights their potential role in breast cancer progression and demonstrates diagnostic and prognostic significance.

Gastric juice-derived miR-129 is downregulated in gastric adenocarcinoma, with progressive decline across tumor stages. Its inverse association with systemic tumor and inflammatory markers, as well as vascular and neurological impairment, suggests that miR-129 may function as a minimally invasive, multi-system biomarker for integrated cancer and vascular-neurological risk assessment.

Overall, this study identifies LINC00958 as a novel oncogenic lncRNA in EC, which facilitates tumor progression by sponging miR-129-2-3p and enhancing NOTCH3 signaling. These findings provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms of EC and suggest that targeting the LINC00958/miR-129-2-3p/NOTCH3 axis may represent a promising therapeutic strategy.

miR-129-5p regulates HMGB1/RAGE axis to inhibit pyroptosis and ameliorate cervical epithelial cell deterioration. (PubMed, Eur J Histochem)
Cells overexpressing miR-129-5p exhibited attenuated caspase-1 activity with enhanced survival and proliferation following LPS treatment. Collectively, these in vitro findings indicate that miR-129-5p suppresses HMGB1/RAGE-mediated pyroptosis and cellular deterioration and also provide new mechanistic insights for cervical cancer therapeutics.
