Identification of miR-451 target genes as prognostic markers in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. (PubMed, Expert Rev Hematol)
Bioinformatics analysis identified 9 target genes (MMP9, AQP9, RIN2, EOMES, LCP2, SELPLG, MAL, SOCS5, S1PR3) significantly associated with DLBCL prognosis, suggesting a potential mechanism by which miR-451 suppresses DLBCL development. Our study indicates that a specific set of miR-451 target genes may significantly influence DLBCL patient outcomes.

DAGLβ is the principal synthesizing enzyme of 2-AG and promotes aggressive intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma via AP-1/DAGLβ/miR4516 feedforward circuitry. (PubMed, Am J Physiol Gastrointest Liver Physiol)
Our findings identify DAGLβ as the principal synthesizing enzyme of 2-AG in ICC. DAGLβ promotes oncogenesis and metastasis of ICC and is transcriptionally regulated by a novel AP-1/DAGLβ/miR4516 feedforward circuitry.

Acidic Tumor Microenvironment Promotes Pancreatic Cancer through miR-451a/MEF2D Axis. (PubMed, J Oncol)
In addition, we found that, in PANC-1 cells under an acidic environment, miR-451a overexpression enhanced oxygen consumption, mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) loss, and ROS generation and inhibited proliferation, migration, invasion, and stemness via sponging MEF2D. In a word, our results revealed that the acidic microenvironment regulated PC progression by affecting the miR-451a/MEF2D axis, indicating a novel avenue for the future treatment of PC.

LncRNA NORAD promotes thyroid carcinoma progression by targeting miR-451. (PubMed, Eur Rev Med Pharmacol Sci)
Our results indicated that the cell migration and invasion were inhibited by knockdown of lncRNA NORAD or overexpression of miR-451, suggesting that the axis of lncRNA NORAD -miR-451- IL-6R was involved in the development of PTC.

miR-451 suppresses EMT and metastasis in glioma cells. (PubMed, Cell Cycle)
Taken together, these results suggest that miRNA-451 can reduce EMT and metastasis in glioma cells through the suppression of the PI3K/Akt/Snail signaling pathway by targeting CAB39 in vitro and in vivo. miR-451 may be a new target for glioma treatment.
