Antifibrotic potential of Reserpine (alkaloid) targeting Keap1/Nrf2; oxidative stress pathway in CCl4-induced liver fibrosis. (PubMed, Chem Biol Interact)
Reserpine treatment lowered the fibrotic markers α-SMA and Col-1 by 1.3 and 1.5 folds respectively as compared to the control group and increased the expression of miR-200a and miR-29b by 15.5 and 8.2 folds (p<0.05) while decreased miR-128-1-5p expression by 5-fold. A comprehensive In-silico, In-vitro, and In-vivo analysis revealed that reserpine has a strong anti-fibrotic effect against the CCl4-induced liver fibrosis in C57BL/6J mice model by targeting the Keap1/Nrf2 pathway.

The operating characteristic of the receiver curve (ROC), proved that, miR-200a also miR-132 had good diagnostic performance in distinguishing early from advanced DN. MiR-200a as well as miR-132 expression levels, and their correlations with NF-κB/TNF-alpha signaling, were able to differentiate between DN patients with lower eGFR, suggesting their utility as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers.

TNF-α stimulated exosome derived from fibroblast-like synoviocytes isolated from rheumatoid arthritis patients promotes HUVEC migration, invasion and angiogenesis by targeting the miR-200a-3p/KLF6/VEGFA axis. (PubMed, Autoimmunity)
This was further confirmed by the fluorescence enzyme report assay, which provided evidence of the direct targeting of KLF6 by miR-200a-3p. Exosomes induced by TNF-α have the ability to enhance the migration, invasion, and angiogenesis of HUVEC cells via the miR-200a-3p/KLF6/VEGFA axis.

Exploring the role of miR-200 family in regulating CX3CR1 and CXCR1 in lung adenocarcinoma tumor microenvironment: implications for therapeutic intervention. (PubMed, Sci Rep)
