Modulation of miR-192/NF-κB/ TGF-β/ E-cadherin by thymoquinone protects against diethylnitrosamine /carbon tetrachloride hepatotoxicity. (PubMed, Physiol Int)
In conclusion, thymoquinone protected the liver tissues through preserving miR-192 and E-cadherin and aborting NF-κB & TGF-β signaling. The current results highlight a new role for thymoquinone in preventing hepatic tumorigenesis.

MiR-192 plays a crucial role in cisplatin-resistance of lung cancer cells. Thus, MiR-192 may represent a therapeutic target for overcoming resistance to cisplatin-based chemotherapy in lung cancer.

Alcohol Promotes Exosome Biogenesis and Release via Modulating Rabs and miR-192 Expression in Human Hepatocytes. (PubMed, Front Cell Dev Biol)
Inhibition of miR-192 in human hepatoma cells caused a significant increase in Rab27a, Rab35, syntaxin7 and syntaxin16 and a concurrent increase in exosome secretion, suggesting miR-192 regulates exosomes release in hepatocytes. Collectively, our results reveal that alcohol modulates Rabs, VAMPs and syntaxins directly and partly via miR-192 to induce exosome machinery and release.

Nanofluorescence Probes to Detect miR-192/Integrin Alpha 1 and Their Correlations with Retinoblastoma. (PubMed, J Biomed Nanotechnol)
After transfection, ITGA1 and miR-192 were overexpressed or silenced in RB116 cells, and we found that ITGA1 could effectively increase the activity and invasion of this RB cell line and reduce its apoptosis level, while miR-192 antagonized this tumor-promoting effect. Therefore, miR-192 can be used as an early biomarker of RB, and ITGA1 may be a new prognostic marker and therapeutic target for the treatment of RB.

[VIRTUAL] Diagnostic and prognostic value of miR-16, miR-146a and miR-192 in exosomes of hepatocellular and liver cirrhosis patients (EASL-ILC 2021)
Exosomes secreted into the plasma carry differentially expressed miRNAs of which in particular, miR-192 was found as a promising prognostic maker for HCC patients while miR-146 demonstrated promising diagnostic potential to identify HCC patients in a high-risk cohort. Furthermore, expression level of miR-16 has a prognostic impact in liver cirrhosis patients.

Dysregulation of exosomal miR-192 and miR-194 expression in lung adenocarcinoma patients. (PubMed, Saudi J Biol Sci)
However, significantly higher number of NSCLC cases showed low expression of miR-194 and miR-192 in bronchial lavage sample. Decreased poor overall survival was found to be associated with bronchial wash sample with respect to low miR-194 and miR-192 expression while NSCLC participants showed better overall survival with high miR-194 and miR-192 expression. This suggested decreased expression of miR-192 and miR-194 expression could be the potential prognostic marker among NSCLC participants.
