FOXK1 induced upregulation of KIF20A promotes hepatocellular carcinoma progression via Wnt/β-Catenin/EMT signaling. (PubMed, Cell Mol Life Sci)
Wnt pathway activator SKL2001 and inhibitor LGK974 confirmed KIF20A's role in tumor progression...ChIP-seq and promoter assays verified FOXK1's direct binding to the KIF20A promoter, activating its transcription. In conclusion, KIF20A serves as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker promoting HCC progression via Wnt/β-catenin signaling, regulated by FOXK1, offering new therapeutic targets.

Transcription factor HOXA4 promotes HBV replication and hepatocellular carcinoma proliferation by activating KIF11 transcription. (PubMed, In Vitro Cell Dev Biol Anim)
Overexpression of KIF11 counteracted the effects of si-HOXA4 in the HepG2.2.15 cells or HepG2 cells with pc3.1-HBx transfection. In conclusion, silencing of HOXA4 inhibited HBV replication and HCC proliferation by downregulating KIF11, providing a novel gene-assisted therapeutic approach for HBV-related HCC.

A Phosphorylation Switch Governs KIF11's Mechanical Output During Mitosis. (PubMed, bioRxiv)
Fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP) analyses show that Y211E accelerates motor turnover on spindle microtubules, consistent with the mutant motor's heightened load sensitivity. Together, these findings support a model in which Src-mediated phosphorylation at Y211 acts as a rheostat to tune KIF11 mechanochemistry and spindle assembly dynamics, linking cancer-relevant kinase signaling to mitotic force generation.

Transcriptomics driven identification of hub gene miRNA interactions for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery in gynecological cancers. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
The identified miRNAs exhibit strong regulatory interactions with these hub genes, while serine/threonine protein kinases emerged as the most significantly associated group. Together, these findings highlight promising biomarker candidates and potential therapeutic targets for gynecological cancers.
