The clinical and molecular taxonomy of t(14;18)-negative follicular lymphomas. (PubMed, Blood Adv)
Pediatric-type follicular lymphoma (PTFL) is characterized by MAP2K1, TNFRSF14 and/or IRF8 mutations, whereas large B-cell lymphoma with IRF4 rearrangement is now recognized as a distinct entity different from PTFL. Ultimately, the better understanding of FL biology and heterogeneity should help to understand the clinical differences and help guiding patient management and treatment decisions.

Simplified algorithm for genetic subtyping in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. (PubMed, Signal Transduct Target Ther)
Genetic subtype-guided targeted agents achieved encouraging clinical response when combined with immunochemotherapy. Collectively, LymphPlex provided high efficacy and feasibility, representing a step forward to the mechanism-based targeted therapy in DLBCL.

Comparison of histological and molecular features of pediatric-type follicular lymphoma and pediatric nodal marginal zone lymphoma. (PubMed, Virchows Arch)
Pediatric-type follicular lymphoma and pediatric nodal marginal zone lymphoma showed morphological overlap in some cases, and no difference between the two was found upon molecular analysis. These findings suggest the possibility that pediatric-type follicular lymphoma and pediatric nodal marginal zone lymphoma are single entity pediatric B-cell lymphoma with broad morphological spectrum.

Pediatric-Type Indolent B-Cell Lymphomas With Overlapping Clinical, Pathologic, and Genetic Features. (PubMed, Am J Surg Pathol)
Atypical adult cases with similar histologic features were also observed. Therefore, the disease spectrum of PedIBCL may be much broader than is currently believed.

Genomic landscape of Epstein-Barr virus-positive extranodal marginal zone lymphomas of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue. (PubMed, Mod Pathol)
Conversely, while EBV-negative MALT lymphomas typically show mutational abnormalities in the NF-κB pathway, other than the 1 TNFAIP3-mutated case, no other NF-κB pathway mutations were identified in the EBV-positive cases. EBV-positive MALT lymphomas often have either mutations or copy number abnormalities in IRF family or interacting genes, suggesting that this pathway may play a role in these lymphomas.
