    This comparative oncology approach will allow further investigation into RIT as a novel treatment modality; first in canines and then in humans with OS. In addition, further studies should be performed to assess the true prognostic significance of IGF2R overexpression.

    Lastly, immunohistochemical analysis revealed that IGF2R is overexpressed in LC. These results demonstrate the vital role of IGF2R in LC carcinogenesis and progression and may facilitate the identification of new therapeutic targets for the prevention and treatment of LC.

    The miR-4306/IGF2R axis modulates the lung adenocarcinoma response to irradiation in vitro and in vivo. (PubMed, Transl Lung Cancer Res)
    In tissue samples, expression of miR-4306 and IGF2R were negatively correlated. The miR-4306/IGF2R axis could significantly affect lung adenocarcinoma progression and response to radiotherapy, and further investigation of the clinical implications of this axis is strongly recommended.
