IFN-γ in ovarian tumor microenvironment upregulates HLA-E expression and predicts a poor prognosis. (PubMed, J Ovarian Res)
Our study revealed the protumorigenic role of IFN-γ by upregulation of HLA-E expression and rendering tumors less susceptible to immune attack. We also provided a novel insight into the relationship between tumor microenvironment and immune evasion.

Systemic agonist anti-CD40 treatment delivers precise melanoma immunotherapy within established autoimmune landscapes (AACR 2023)
Importantly, anti-CD40 alone delivered anti-tumor immune responses in type 1 IFN receptor-deficient lupus-prone mice that overexpress IFNg (Ifnar-/-ARE-/-) mice suggesting synergy with therapies blocking type 1 IFN signaling. Thus, these findings indicate that the rational use of CD40 agonists abs provide a better therapeutic platform to deliver precise anti-melanoma responses in complex autoimmune landscapes.

Loss of YTHDF1 in gastric tumors restores sensitivity to antitumor immunity by recruiting mature dendritic cells. (PubMed, J Immunother Cancer)
YTHDF1 is overexpressed in GC and promotes GC by inducing cell proliferation and repression of DCs-mediated antitumor immune response. YTHDF1 is a promising therapeutic target for GC treatment.

Immune Senescence-Related Gene Expression Profile in CD4+ T-Lymphocytes of HTLV-1 Asymptomatic Carriers and Patients with Adult T-Cell Leukemia/Lymphoma (ATLL): A Brazilian Preliminary Study (ASH 2021)
These preliminaries results showed for the first time that HTLV-1 asymptomatic carriers present a set of genes differentially expressed in T-CD4+ cells, especially SPARC , TWIST1 , COL3A1 , CDNK1A and IFNG . These results will be confirmed in a validation cohort. We expected that this data shed some light on the comprehension of the cell microenvironment of the T-CD4+ lymphocyte in HTLV-1 asymptomatic carriers.

We expected that this data shed some light on the comprehension of the cell microenvironment of the T-CD4+ lymphocyte in HTLV-1 asymptomatic carriers. Furthermore, we will be able to understand potential mechanisms associated with leukemogenesis in chronic infection by this virus, explaining eventual progression to ATLL.
