hUCMSCs-sec exerted a cytotoxic effect on GBM cells and upregulated the expression of Casp3, whereas it decreased the expression of HOX, IGFBP2, EGFR, and ERK in GBM cells. The secretomes from hUCMSCs show potential for GBM cell therapy by improving the deregulation of HOX, inducing apoptosis, and inhibiting cell proliferation genes.

RBM15 downregulation attenuated in vivo CRC cell proliferation by inhibiting the FGD5-AS1/HOXC10 axis. In conclusion, RBM15 promotes the FGD5-AS1/HOXC10 axis via m6A modification to promote CRC cell proliferation.

When analyzing pioneer transcription factors, the AMPC lesion exhibited elevated FOXA1 activity while the brain NEPC lesion showed elevated HOXC10, NFYB, and OTX2 expression suggesting novel roles in NEPC formation or brain tropism. Our results highlight the utility of performing multi-omic characterization, especially in rare cancer subtypes.

The HOXC10/NOD1/ERK axis drives osteolytic bone metastasis of pan-KRAS-mutant lung cancer. (PubMed, Bone Res)
Strikingly, inhibition of HOXC10 in combination with STAT3 inhibitor was effective against KRAS-mutant lung cancer bone metastasis by triggering ferroptosis. Taken together, these findings reveal that HOXC10 effectively alleviates pan-KRAS-mutant lung cancer with bone metastasis in the NOD1/ERK axis-dependent manner, and support further development of an effective combinatorial strategy for this kind of disease.
