Long non-coding RNAs as prognostic biomarkers in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer: A systematic review. (PubMed, Narra J)
Higher level of UNMIBC was strongly associated with poor recurrence-free survival (HR: 2.362; 95%CI: 1.504-4.837; p = 0.007). In conclusion, lncRNAs have potential as prognostic biomarkers in NMIBC, with UCA1 and UNMIBC overexpression and GAS5 underexpression being significant in predicting disease recurrence and progression, highlighting the clinical relevance of monitoring these lncRNAs to improve prognosis and guide treatment decisions.

PROGNOSTIC SIGNIFICANCE OF LONG NON-CODING RNA GAS5 AND MICRORNA-222 EXPRESSION PROFILES IN YOUNGER AML PATIENTS (EHA 2022)
Conclusion This is the first study focused on examining the lncRNA GAS5 and miR-222 expression pattern in AML patients. Its initial findings indicate potential prognostic significance of GAS5 expression and the need for further investigation of these two non-coding RNAs, their potential roles in leukemogenesis, and the prognosis of AML patients.

A Long Noncoding RNA, GAS5 Can Be a Biomarker for Docetaxel Response in Castration Resistant Prostate Cancer. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
Therefore, we rule out the hypothesis that GAS5 directly down regulate ABCB1 that lead to docetaxel sensitivity. In conclusion, our work suggests that GAS5 can serve as a predictive biomarker for docetaxel response in CRPC; however, the exact mechanism behind the observed correlation remain to be elucidated.
