FABP7 Enhances Endometrial Cancer Cell Migration and Stemness by Activating the Wnt/β-catenin Pathway. (PubMed, Biochem Genet)
Furthermore, FABP7 silencing reduced stemness capacity, as evidenced by diminished sphere-forming ability. Mechanistically, downregulation of FABP7 led to inhibition of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. This study demonstrates that FABP7 can promote cell migration and stemness in endometrial cancer by activating the Wnt/β-catenin pathway, supporting FABP7 as a potential therapeutic target for the clinical management of endometrial cancer.

AAV-mediated delivery of a proliferation inducing ligand (APRIL) to cortical neurons limits inflammation and demyelination in the corpus callosum of the cuprizone mouse model. (PubMed, J Neuroinflammation)
AAV-mediated expression of APRIL by cortical neuron counteracted microglial recruitment and demyelination in the splenium of CPZ-treated mice. Our multi-omics integration analysis nominated several pathways, including Fabp7-linked astrocytic lipid metabolism, to elucidate APRIL's mechanism of action. Together, these findings provide a framework for the mechanistic dissection of APRIL's therapeutic potential and further translational evaluation in CNS pathologies characterised by acute neuro-inflammatory responses.

We found that the FABP7-PKC-pGAP43 axis is key to GBM TM formation, with TMs serving as networks for efficient long-distance cell migration. Our results indicate that TM formation can be mitigated by FABP7 inhibition with the potential of improving clinical outcomes in GBM patients.

In vitro, PCM@TMA-lip inhibited tumor cell malignancy and suppressed the growth of 3D spheroids. We observed transcriptional shifts toward the invasive MITFLow/AXLHigh phenotype, with upregulation of transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) receptor mRNAs. In conclusion, FABP7 may help balancing lipid saturation and maintain the proliferative state of melanomas, mitigating invasiveness and metastatic formation.
