Stemness-associated WNT3A and EDN3 as key regulators of tumor progression and immunotherapy efficacy in LUAD. (PubMed, Int J Surg)
WNT3A and EDN3 are potential prognostic biomarkers for LUAD. WNT3A, in particular, is associated with enhanced immunotherapy response, making it a promising target for future clinical applications.

Interpretable machine learning driven biomarker identification and validation for prostate cancer. (PubMed, Transl Androl Urol)
GSEA and immune cell infiltration analysis uncovered distinctions between PCa and normal tissues. This study offered potential biomarkers and a theoretical basis for the diagnosis and treatment for PCa.

EDNRB negatively regulates glycolysis to exhibit anti-tumor functions in prostate cancer by cGMP/PKG pathway. (PubMed, Mol Cell Endocrinol)
In vivo, enhanced EDNRB expression significantly suppressed tumor growth. Therefore, EDNRB or EDN3 possess anticancer potential in PCa, primarily through the regulation of glycolysis via the cGMP/PKG pathway.

Palmitoyl copper peptide and acetyl tyrosine complex enhances melanin production in both A375 and B16 cell lines. (PubMed, Biochem Biophys Res Commun)
Finally, the effects of the CP-AcT on the expression of three proteins involved in the biosynthesis pathway of melanin: tyrosinase (TYR), dopachrome tautomerase (DCT), and endothelin 3 (EDN3) were analyzed. The results indicate that the complex CP-AcT effectively promotes melanin production in both types of melanoma cells.

Development and validation of a prognostic model for colon cancer based on mitotic gene signatures and immune microenvironment analysis. (PubMed, Discov Oncol)
The mitosis-related gene model serves as a valuable indicator for predicting survival outcomes in colon cancer patients.

Important roles of Hif1a in maternal or adult BPA exposure induced pancreatic injuries. (PubMed, Sci Rep)
Seventeen insulin secretion-related DEGs (Stxbp5l, Fam3d, Mia3, Igf1, Hif1a, Aqp1, Kif5b, Tiam1, Map4k4, Cyp51, Pde1c, Rab3c, Arntl, Clock, Edn3, Kcnb1, and Krt20) in the BPA group were identified, and 15 regulator DEGs (Zfp830, 4931431B13Rik, Egr1, Ddit4l, Cep55, G530011O06Rik, Hspa1b, Hspa1a, Cox6a2, Ibtk, Banf1, Slc35b2, Golt1b, Lrp8, and Pttg1) with opposite expression trends and a regulator gene Cerkl with the similar expression trend in the Control and BPA groups were identified. Hif1α might be an important molecular target for pancreatic cancer caused by BPA exposure, and pregnancy is a critical window of susceptibility to BPA exposure.

Methylation-mediated silencing of EDN3 promotes cervical cancer proliferation, migration and invasion. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
EDN3 silencing mediated by methylation can be blocked by 5-Azacytidine (5-Aza), a DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1) inhibitor, treatment in cervical cancer cell lines...The results of these experiments confirmed that overexpression of EDN3 could inhibit the proliferation, clone formation, migration and invasion of cervical cancer cells. EDN3 may provide potential biomarker and therapeutic target for CSCC.

Endothelin-3 is epigenetically silenced in endometrioid endometrial cancer. (PubMed, J Cancer Res Clin Oncol)
The endothelial axis is disturbed in endometrioid endometrial cancer. The observed silencing of EDN3 activity may be mainly due to DNA methylation.
