Cathepsin a upregulation in glioma: A potential therapeutic target associated with immune infiltration. (PubMed, J Med Biochem)
Moreover, High expressed CTSA was associated with immune cell infiltration. CTSA may serve as a candidate prognostic biomarker for determining prognosis associated with immune infiltration in glioma.

High cathepsin A protein expression predicts poor prognosis and tumor recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma patients after curative hepatectomy. (PubMed, Am J Cancer Res)
Furthermore, we constructed a nomogram that exhibited excellent prediction performance, which was validated by the calibration curve and decision curve analysis. Together, our study demonstrated that CTSA protein level is strongly associated with poor clinical outcome of HCC patients and may be used as a potential diagnostic and prognostic biomarker in HCC.

Identification of the prognostic, diagnostic, and biological significance of the miR-148a-3p/cathepsin A axis in hepatocellular carcinoma. (PubMed, J Biochem Mol Toxicol)
The miR-148a-3p/CTSA axis was implicated in immune cell infiltration and carcinogenesis of HCC. miR-148a-3p and CTSA might be prospective molecular targets to enhance the potency of immunotherapy in HCC.
